Trained well today, did 6 x 2 min rounds on boxing pads, feeling ok. Went to boxing club last night - my weight there after training was 86.9kgs - UNREAL. Just had shake for dinner, the weight is dropping off.

Boxing is a very lonely sport with the eating, training and mind games. I was really feeling it today.

It took all I had to go Haringey boxing club tonight. So pleased after I had a good session plus the coach talked about me fighting in March and starting sparring next week. That’s when the journey begins.

Now that I remember my goal of being an amateur champion, it's easier to eat well and train hard. I'm so pleased I changed boxing clubs, I know it’s right tonight and that feels good.

Woke up with my body hurting all over. Did a 9 mile run with the lads, first half was really hard and my legs were hurting but hung in there. Second half very strong, beat last week’s time by over 1 and a half mins (1:08:52).

Funny because I've been feeling bloated all day but ate well - must keep my eye on this. Just got boxing club left this week on Friday night, before 2 days rest over the weekend. Got in my medium sized work t-shirt so I must be losing weight and changing shape!

Did 4 x 2 min rounds on pads with my brother, not my best but really pleased they are done. Managed to sleep in the afternoon for 2 and half hours. Went to Haringey boxing club at night and worked hard. One of the coaches did pad work with me, I was sharp plus they talked about me sparring which is great news. Then we'll see how the coaches like me then. Just a shake for dinner.

Feeling low this morning, got on with the day, did a 9 mile run in 1 hour, 10 mins and 24 sec. So pleased I did it, was a great feeling afterwards. Also did bag work in the afternoon, I really needed a good day. Feels good now.

Got home and looked through my old boxing diary. I’m in front so far, must rest when my body needs it and not have big food blow outs - they do make you feel low.

Personally had a really good day, the business is flying. Had a rest day today - first day on this boxing training camp. I'm finding it hard, think I’ve been getting up early, finishing late and training hard, hope I just need a good nights sleep and should be up for it tomorrow!

Big day tomorrow, plan to do a 9 mile run and bag work in the afternoon. The most important thing is to plan and cook food, that’s what gets success. So I have planned the days eating and I will feel 10 times better this time tomorrow if I train and eat as planned.

Pleased with my weight today - 88.7kg . Back on it after weekend, my training is going so well, just as planned! Watched myself on video of me on boxing pads before my last fight. I was throwing 140 punches per 2 mins round, that’s over a punch a second. In my pad session this week i was throwing 120 punches per round, its great to have a marker and know where I need to be, its science!
I've had a great first 2 weeks training and got my fighting hair cut (skin head).
todays training

morning - circuit 4 stantio x 2 min each one 30 sec between rounds 3 times round.

aternoon - 6 x 3 mins 30 sec rest between rounds on the bag
4 x 3 mins 3 sec rest between rounds skipping

Weight 91.2kgs

Feeling really up for training after rest at the weekend, my brother took me though 4 x 2 min rounds on pads - was sharp and starting to feel fitter.

Starting to realise that when i want to lose weight, I need to eat small meals as well as the right food!

Found it hard going to new boxing club but enjoyed it. Worked out hard, watched a couple of the boys spar. I really fancy it boxing wise, it made me realise how good I am. A lot of them don’t want to hurt each other, boxing is a mix between skill and really wanting to knock the other guy out. It's a tough sport - only do it if you're willing to be hurt as well as to hurt. This is my year... looking forward to starting sparring down there!
