Weight 85.9kgs

Weight was great at 85.9kgs, feeling a lot better about boxing after training. It looks as if I’ll be fighting at 83kgs, so it will be easy for me to make the weight - a lot less stress! It’s easy to forget how fit I’m feeling and how good I look. I love the fact that I have a goal to work to. I have sparring with couple of pro boxers in the morning. BRING IT ON.

Weight 86.5kgs


Done it again - eaten and trained hard, weight is coming down. People don’t know how hard it is being a boxer, my life is busy with running my own business and buying a flat with my fiancĂ©e, life is non stop BUT I'M STILL WINNING.

Weight 88.4kgs

Hard day again, but passed the test. 6 x 2 mins pads with my brother in the morning, then went to boxing club at night and sparred one of the guys who has had 40 fights. Did 3 x 2 mins rounds. I boxed well and held my own, so pleased with it.

From a boxing point of view it’s been the best boxing week, sparred and trained well overall, just need to put the food into action. Here we go again!

An ok day, just finding it hard...eating too much still. Could have been better today but I'm looking forward to boxing club on Friday night, sparring a guy who has had 40 fights or more. It will be hard but good for me, should feel fresh for it.

Sparred Matt from Haringey, 4 x 2 mins rounds. Feeling really good, I jabbed and moved my head, let punches go - boxed well! Eaten well again and feel so much better for it.

Today’s food

5.30 fruit, 7.45 cereal, 11.45 shake, 12.15 half rice tuna, 15.15 bar, 16.30 bar, 20.00 chicken & veg

Great days eating and training, every day is a test when you’re a boxer - if it's not your fitness, it's your weight and mental strength, but I passed today.

Enjoyed 6 x 2 pads with my brother this morning, could feel the weight on me! Went to Haringey boxing club at night, warmed up, ten did 4 x 2 min rounds of sparing with a guy who has had 14 fights - won 8, draw 1, lost 5. That is a good record in amateur boxing. I did really well, hurt him with my jab and right body shoot. The coaches looked happy with me, and I was buzzing after (needed that).

Struggled today, really need the weekend off work. My dad picked up my boxing card from Sussex, so I’m able to box for Haringey whenever a bout comes up!

It all starts Monday - big time PLAN, it’s all about food. I love training hard. It is happening, 80/20 rule. Let's finish this journey off! Plus I will put my food diary on my blog as of Monday so I cannot cheat. I feel better already! Now it is time to enjoy the weekend.

Sprints went well, hardest I've trained yet. Did boxing pads in afternoon with my brother, I hit the pads like I meant it today, slipped and rolled as I will fight. Must remember that my style of fighting is low, aggressive, fast, powerful slipping and rolling and letting hooks go.

My internet has been down all week, so not posted - must say it has not helped. Trained hard all week but eaten like a pig, but I’m back on line again now! just so pleased to have gone to boxing club tonight. My biggest test yet I passed. say no more, here we go again.
